The Birth of a Dream: Bringing India to Utah
Shilpa, a scientist living in the U.S. for over 10 years, always nurtured a dream — to bring the soulful essence of Indian home-cooked food to their community in Utah. In 2024, that dream came to life with the launch of Swad Cabin in the heart of Spanish Fork.
In the city of Spanish Fork, they opened Swad Cabin to the public. Immediately, patrons were flooding in to savor some of the most amazing Indian food in Utah.
Word spread quickly. The vibrant spices, the homestyle cooking, and the heartfelt service drew in food lovers from all over. Swad Cabin wasn’t just a restaurant — it was a celebration of heritage.
What began as a small local eatery is now a growing culinary movement. In just few months, it was awarded the Best of State. Swad Cabin proudly offers catering services, delivers across Utah, and has expanded its menu to include beloved Indo-Chinese dishes — without compromising its core values of authenticity, quality, and warmth.
